Kshipra marma (क्षिप्र मर्म): Remote control to release stress

Introduction

Do you think the appellation “MAN” is right for the human beings……….??? I think no, absolutely not. For me the most minded, intuitive, visionary, skillful, creative, persuasive, responsible, courageous and egalitarian species in the world must be awarded with the moniker “MACHINE”. Yes, that's true because we don’t have any time to interact with our dear ones, no time to lend a helping hand to others, no spare time to hang out with our friends…! We had made our life hectic and we let our work nagging us. Always say we are busy busy busy busy…….and this word really make us busy. All these things makes us frail and ailing. In ayurveda there are some therapies especially marma therapy that not only makes us physically fit but also mentally. Kshipra marma is one the cardinal marma of marma therapy that relieves stress, tension and ailments from our life and thus makes us healthy. So don’t push yourself over the edge otherwise you will break like a rubber band so commence this cure right now….!!!

Kshipra marma (क्षिप्र मर्म) annotation

  • Meaning: The word Kshipra (क्षिप्र) literally means “fast” i.e the marma which has the fastest action or the marma that provides the fastest relief is labelled as the Kshipra marm.
  • Location: Kshipra marma is present between the web space of first metacarpal and 2nd metacarpal bone of both the hands.
    Note: This marma also exists in each foot in web space between the 1st and 2nd metatarsal bones.
  • Comparison: It is compared with the first intermetatarsal ligaments in feets while first intermetacarpal ligament in hands.
  • Number: Kshipra marma is two in number.
  • Composition: It is made up of tendons or ligaments i.e snayu (स्नायु).
  • Category: Fatal over time.
  • Properties: It is both cool and igneous in nature.
  • Mensuration: Its size is about half of the finger i.e adha angul (अधांगुल).

Actuate energy point

Ask the marma seeker to sit comfortably in a chair pose or cross legged position and then instruct him to initiate concentration on the his breath. Now mandate him to mould his hands so that the first finger and thumb comes at 90 degrees to each other. Leisurely begin to press the area between the 1st and the 2nd metacarpal bones of hands. The creator created the area in such a way that whole of your thumb will occupy the web space. It is little bit uncomfortable while pressing this point but it surely provides you relief from the diseases with regular implementation. Press this marm 15-18 times in morning, afternoon and eve with the rhythm of breathing.

Note:

  • In males initiate stimulation of Kshipra marma from right hand while in females inaugurate from left hand.
  • The hand should not be too much tight, let it be little bit loose.
  • Press Kshipra marma with tempo of breath.

Kshipra Significance

Kshipra marma is useful in sicknesses of the shoulder region, anterior triangle of the neck and in maladies like cervical spondylosis, tonsillitis, thyroid, dysphonia, dysphagia, dyslalia. Even in patients of excessive eroticism, activate Kshipra marma of the feet this will absolutely lessens the livido. But remember excessive stimulation damages the Kshipra marma so press it according to the need. It also act as a utilitarian in case of backache. This shows that when your health undergoes wax and wane don’t lament just endeavour it out (marma therapy) then you will definitely ensue yourself as a better being with joy.
