Giloy, also known as Amrita or Guduchi in Hindi, is an herb that helps improve digestion and boost immunity. All parts of the plant are used in Ayurvedic medicine however the stem of Giloy has the maximum utility. Giloy is rich in Alkaloids, Terpenoids and Lignans that makes it effective against various disorders such as diabetes, cancer, neurological problems, fever etc.
As per Ayurveda, Giloy can be consumed in either a powdered form or can be in the form of decoction made either from giloy churna or fresh stem. A regular dose of Giloy as a teaspoon at a time, taken twice a day.
